Vol. 244 No. 8

Ceisteanna — Questions. Oral Answers. - Anglo-Irish Trade Agreement.

40.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce the loss to this country to date in respect of the breaches by the British Government of the Anglo-Irish Free Trade Agreement in respect of biscuits.

I am not aware of any breach by the British Government of the Anglo-Irish Free Trade Area Agreement in respect of biscuits nor have any representations to this effect been made to me.

Surely the Parliamentary Secretary is aware there is dumping of cheap biscuits in this country, which is a deliberate breach of the trade agreement by the British Government and that we have taken no action to counteract this?

I am not so aware.
