Vol. 244 No. 8

Ceisteanna — Questions. Oral Answers. - County Cork School.

90.

asked the Minister for Education the reason for the delay in the provision of a new girls school at Douglas, County Cork.

My Department has no plans for the early replacement of Douglas Girls' National School. The Commissioners of Public Works reported in November last that its replacement is not a matter of urgency but I am arranging to have further investigations made with a view to ascertaining whether some improvements to the building may be necessary to render it suitable pending its replacement at some later date.
