Vol. 244 No. 13

Order of Business.

It is proposed to take business in the following order: Nos. 9 and 10 and, in No. 10, Votes 43, 44 and 21 and then No. 11; No. 10, Votes 27 to 32 inclusive. There will be no Private Members' Business.

Could the Taoiseach tell us whether the debate on the Estimate for the Department of Local Government will be resumed tomorrow?

It will be resumed after the Supplementary Estimates we are now ordering are dealt with.

That means that before the debate on Local Government is resumed all these must be concluded?

Yes, because the money voted under these Supplementary Estimates is urgently required in the respective Departments.

Nobody can guess what will happen today—and I do not mean the election. Is it assumed that all these will be concluded today?

It is hoped that they will, but if not they will be resumed tomorrow.

Perhaps we could be told in good time if the debate on the Estimate for the Department of Local Government will be resumed tomorrow?

The Deputy will have as good an idea as I will have. It will depend on the pace of the business.
