Vol. 245 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Cork School.

85.

asked the Minister for Education if he will sanction the erection of prefabricated classrooms at Ballincollig, County Cork, to alleviate overcrowding.

I would refer the Deputy to the reply I gave to a question from him in this matter on 18th December, 1969.

Officers of the Commissioners of Public Works have since been in consultation with the reverend manager of the Ballincollig national schools. The site is too restricted to allow of the erection of two temporary classrooms, as had been proposed, but arrangements are in train to provide the additional accommodation required by a suitable adaptation of the former school building, in which one class is at present being catered for.
