andMr. Bruton asked the Minister for Lands the names, locations and acreages of the estates in County Kildare currently in the hands of the Land Commission; the date on which each estate was acquired; and the date on which it is proposed to distribute it.

The Estates numbered 1, 4, 5, 17 and 18 form a composite group and are being dealt with as a unit.

Estates numbered 2, 4, 7, 8, 11, 14 and 15 have already been partly allotted.

NOTES: (a) The position regarding lands on hands in the possession of the Land Commission for distribution is subject to constant fluctuation, depending upon progress in intake and allotment.

(b) It is not possible at present to indicate when the individual Estates mentioned will be allotted, but there will be no avoidable delay. The necessary local inquiries preliminary to allotment are being pushed forward as rapidly as circumstances permit.

(c) During the last three complete financial years the aggregate area allotted in Co. Kildare was approximately 2,500 acres.
