Vol. 246 No. 8

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - St. Catherine's Hospital, Dublin.

15.

asked the Minister for Health if any decision has been made regarding the future of St. Catherine's Hospital, Pigeon House Road, Dublin.

St. Catherine's Hospital, Pigeon House Road, has been leased by the authorities of the Meath Hospital, Dublin, since 1952 for the accommodation of patients from that hospital.

The Deputy will be aware of the proposed reorganisation of hospital services in South Dublin as envisaged in the FitzGerald Report. Pending the outcome of discussions which are proceeding between the hospital authorities concerned on the changes which are necessary, it would not be possible to take a decision about the future of St. Catherine's.
