Vol. 247 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Pensioned Teachers' Pay Cheques.

30.

asked the Minister for Education if he will take steps to ease the hardship being caused to pensioned primary and secondary teachers in cashing their cheques during the bank strike; and if he will consider having their cheques cashed in the Department as is the case with the present and retired staff of the Department.

Arrangements have been made with the Department of Posts and Telegraphs whereby payable orders issued to pensioned teachers may be cashed in local post offices.
