asked the Minister for Justice whether there have been any increase in recent weeks in the number of bomb scares leading to the evacuation of office buildings; and whether any investigation of the incidence of these occurrences has taken place.

The numbers of bomb scares, all of which led to the evacuation of buildings, in the Dublin area during the four months to the end of May, 1970, were as follows:

In the rest of the country two bomb scares were reported during the same period.

All of these cases were investigated by the Garda Síochána.
