asked the Minister for Local Government the present position and condition of the National Building Agency houses at Killenaule, County Tipperary; and if he will agree to making some of these houses available for renting or purchase to the general community.

Four houses have been sold to the county council of Tipperary South Riding and one house has been sold to an individual. All necessary repair work has been completed to these five houses. The council has agreed to purchase a further four houses and is considering purchasing two more. Repair work is being carried out to these six houses. The letting of the remaining twenty-one houses is in the hands of Ballingarry Collieries (Production) Ltd. Disposal of the houses is a matter for the agency in consultation with the mining company. Applications from the general public for renting or purchasing any houses available will be considered.
