asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs the cost to his Department of the administration of telephone exchanges at Ballybay, Newbliss and Emyvale, County Monaghan; and the number of subscribers attached to each of these exchanges.

120.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs the cost of administration and maintenance of telephone exchanges at Monaghan, Clones and Castleblayney, County Monaghan; and the number of subscribers attached to each of these exchanges.

With your permission, a Cheann Comhairle, I propose to take Questions Nos. 119 and 120 together.

I regret that costs for administration or maintenance are not available for individual exchanges.

The number of subscribers' lines connected to each of the exchanges in question is as follows: Ballybay, 120; New-bliss, 65; Emyvale, 66; Monaghan, 543; Clones, 233; Castleblayney, 238.
