Vol. 247 No. 12

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Minibus Insurance.

50.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he is aware that tariff insurance companies in the State refuse to insure minibuses for the transport of children to school; and, if so, if there is any alternative open to such minibus owners to procure insurance elsewhere.

I am not aware of any general refusal by motor insurers to cover the use of minibuses for the carriage of children to school. If, however, the Deputy has information about any particular case or cases of refusal and furnishes me with details I shall have the matter investigated.
