asked the Minister for Social Welfare if he will state the number of days lost through illness in 1969, based on claims for disability benefit by insured persons.

The information sought by the Deputy is not yet available. However, the number of days lost through illness in the 1968 benefit year, the latest for which figures are available, based on claims for disability benefit by insured persons, was approximately 17,447,000.
