Vol. 249 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - School Attendance Act.

23.

asked the Minister for Education whether, having regard to the new primary school leaving age, he is satisfied that adequate liaison exists between post-primary schools in Dublin and the school attendance committee.

I am satisfied that the provisions in this regard contained in section 15 of the School Attendance Act, 1926, are adequate.

In response to a recent request from the Chief School Attendance Officer, Corporation of Dublin, I propose to issue a circular to the authorities of primary and post-primary schools in Dublin in which reference will be made to the duties of principal teachers under the School Attendance Act.
