Provision is already made whereby grants by the Department of Local Government and local authorities for group water schemes are supplemented by my Department when farmers are participating in such schemes. This applies where the average cost per serviced premises exceeds £180 and my Department's contribution is normally 66? per cent of such excess in respect of each farmer installing a farm water supply.
