Vol. 249 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Moville (Donegal) Harbour Works.

45.

asked the Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries the reasons for the delay in proceeding with harbour works in Moville; and if he is aware of the general demand to have these works carried out at the earliest possible date.

A State grant of £34,500 or 75 per cent of the costs involved, whichever is the lesser, was offered to the Donegal County Council for a scheme of improvement works at Moville Harbour, County Donegal. I am awaiting the outcome of negotiations between the county council and the harbour authority about the acceptance of the offer, the financing of the balance of the cost involved and the future maintenance of the works when completed.
