The pier in question is controlled and maintained by the Cork County Council.
The only function which the Commissioners of Public Works could exercise in relation to it would be to examine and report on proposals, initiated elsewhere, and to implement, as agents, any proposals that might be approved. There are no proposals before the commissioners for examination at present.
