Vol. 250 No. 3

Ceisteanna-Questions. Oral Answers. - County Kerry Schools.

15.

asked the Minister for Education if it is the intention of his Department to close Coolard. Tullamore and Dromerin national schools. County Kerry; and, if so, if he will now state what alternative his Department has for the replacement of those three schools.

It has been decided to erect a new central school at Coolard to replace the Coolard, Tullamore and Dromerin national schools. Sketch plans for the new school are at present in course of preparation in the Office of Public Works. My Department have authorised the provision of such essential improvements, including sanitary and heating facilities, in the existing three schools as will render them suitable until the new school has been provided.
