Vol. 252 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Mining Company Capital.

23.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce what part of the capital of a mining company (name supplied) is held by Irish citizens; and what part is held by another mining company (name supplied).

The companies named by the Deputy are Canadian registered and I am not in a position to give the information requested.

Good enough, but the Minister will have to answer the next one.

Can the Minister say if one company is Bula and, if it is, is it true that the mining company has £100 as its capital?

This is not true When Deputy Desmond asked a question my colleague talked about misinformation, but this is not true. It is not the name of either of the companies.

(Interruptions.)

A Deputy

There is something wrong with the Labour Party today.

This disagreement in the Labour Party is very unseemly.

We have not been as disgraceful as the Fianna Fáil Party for the past year and a half. We did not use any guns.

Very unseemly.

Only for the feuding and fighting in the Minister's party he would not be sitting where he is today.

I was merely using a device to bring the information to the floor of the House that the company has £100 as capital.

This is just too good. Is it not true—and I think the Minister will bear me out—that a company called Bula—for all I know that company may be in cahoots with the companies I named; it may be a putup job——

What is the question?

Is the company named Bula in the names supplied?

I do not think that company was formed when the question was put down.

I think the Minister is right.
