Vol. 252 No. 10

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Equal Pay.

32.

asked the Minister for Finance the State-sponsored bodies which have adopted the principle of equal pay for women and those which have not accepted the principle.

Detailed information on the lines sought by the Deputy is not available in my Department. Moreover, the precise meaning to be attached to the principle of equal pay is among the matters at present being considered by the Commission on the Status of Women. As I recently told the House, the Commission have informed me that they hope to have an interim report on the whole question of equal pay completed by the middle of this year.
