Vol. 252 No. 10

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Kerry Park.

46.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will consider making the wooded and mountainous area of Killarney-Millstreet-Ballyvourney a national park as it is ideally suited for such a development.

In accordance with standing policy all the forest areas in the general region indicated are being opened to public access save where exceptional fire hazard exists. The extensive Glendav property of Ballyvourney Forest and the Rossacroonaloo property of Kilgarvan Forest will be the pivotal points for public access and recreational use of forest areas in the Derrynasaggart region.
