(Cavan) asked the Minister for Education if he will explain the cause of the delay in having the agreed storage heaters installed and temporary repairs carried out to Milltown school, Belturbet, County Cavan; and if he will take steps to have the sanitary conditions improved and the playground repaired as agreed with the parents.

A grant has been sanctioned towards the cost of carrying out works to render Milltown NS habitable pending its replacement by a new school. The works include the provision of thermal storage heating and repairs to the latrines and playground.
It is understood that the local officer of the Commissioners of Public Works is in communication with the reverend manager about the carrying out of the works.
