Vol. 252 No. 10

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Killarney (Kerry) Housing.

77.

asked the Minister for Local Government the basis on which the 75 houses which will be built shortly by the National Building Agency Limited in Killarney, County Kerry, will be allocated.

I understand from Kerry County Council that 27 of the houses to be provided are local authority houses and will be allocated in accordance with the housing authority's approved scheme of letting priorities. The remainder of the houses are being provided by the housing authority to meet the needs of new and expanding industries in the area. These houses will be either sold to individual industries or nominated employees of industries, in consultation with the Industrial Development Authority, or rented to individual employees nominated by the Industrial Development Authority.
