asked the Taoiseach the total number of registered unemployed up to 31st January, 1971, in each of the local employment exchanges in County Mayo.

I propose, with your permission, Sir, to circulate with the Official Report, a statement showing the number of persons on the live register in each of the local employment offices in County Mayo on 29th January, 1971.

Is the Parliamentary Secretary aware that the numbers signing on at these local labour exchanges have increased substantially in recent times? What steps does he propose to take to remedy this situation?

That is a separate question. The question is a statistical one.

This is a very serious question for the people concerned.

Nevertheless, the Deputy's supplementary is a separate question.

andMr. Begley asked the Taoiseach if he will state in respect of the weeks ended 10th April, and 24th April, 1971 the total number of people in receipt of unemployment assistance at all the employment exchanges in County Kerry.

I propose, with your permission, Sir, to circulate with the Official Report, a statement giving the information requested by the Deputies.

Following is the statement:
