Vol. 253 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - School Building Life.

5.

asked the Minister for Education what is the expected life of temporary school buildings erected in recent years; whether he is satisfied in the light of experience with them; and when this estimated life will be attained.

If the Deputy has in mind prefabricated timber structures their life is estimated at a minimum of 15 years provided they are properly maintained. My information is that in general these prefabricated units have proved very satisfactory.
