In addition to the major servicing facilities available at Casement Aerodrome, County Dublin, for helicopters, refuelling facilities are provided at seven other locations.
Could the Minister say where these locations are?
They are at Athlone Military Barracks, at Galway Military Barracks, at Castlebar Military Barracks, at Cavan Military Barracks, at Finner Camp, County Donegal, at Fort Duncannon and at Valentia, County Kerry.
Are these helicopters based in Dublin or, in the case of emergencies, do they operate from these different servicing centres?
They are based at Casement Aerodrome in Dublin.
Can the Minister say if there are any plans to set up a second depot in the West of Ireland?
