asked the Minister for Social Welfare the number of persons in the Beara peninsula, County Cork, entitled to free travel under the various provisions of the Social Welfare Acts.

The number of persons entitled to free travel in the Beara peninsula is estimated at 1,100.

What are the circumstances in which people are entitled to free transport under the various provisions of the Social Welfare Acts? There are 1,100 on the Beara Peninsula.

This is a separate question. The question relates to free travel.

Yes, that is what I am asking. How are people entitled to free travel?

I am grateful to the Minister for this information. It certainly suggests that the present Government are not unconcerned about the condition of old people in this country.

It took me two or three years to get that facility for them.
