Vol. 254 No. 13

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Dublin Health Authority Psychiatrist.

6.

asked the Minister for Health whether the Local Appointments Commission recommended a psychiatrist for the post of forensic psychiatrist in the Dublin Health Authority in 1969; whether an appointment has yet been made; and, if not, what is the reason for the delay in making this urgently needed appointment.

As the Deputy was informed in replies to previous questions about this appointment, the person who was offered appointment on the recommendation of the Local Appointments Commissioners did not take up duty. The commissioners were then asked for a fresh recommendation. A person has now been recommended for the appointment to the Eastern Health Board, which has replaced the Dublin Health Authority.
