asked the Minister for Health if an application was made originally by Limerick Health Authority and subsequently followed up by the Mid-Western Health Board for an extension to Limerick Regional Hospital at Dooradoyle; if so, when the application was made; and what the present position is in regard to the matter.

As separate applications relating to a number of proposals to extend the hospital are involved, I propose with the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, to circulate the information in the form of a tabular statement with the Official Report.

On 25th May, 1971, Department wrote to Mid-Western Health Board suggesting amendments to specifications and resubmission of relevant documents for approval before tenders are invited.

3. Laboratory Facilities

29/10/69

Outline plans submitted by Mid- Western Health Board on 17th May, 1971 showing layout and site of proposed laboratory are receiving consideration in the Department.

4. Out-Patients Department

27/2/70

Planning awaiting outcome of consideration of proposals for psychiatric unit.

Additional Classroom Accommodation for nurses and Assembly Hall.

Sketch plans under consideration in the Department.
