asked the Taoiseach the decline in the number of (1) permanent farm employees, (2) temporary farm employees and (3) family members; and (4) the increase in the number of farm tractors in each of the past ten years.

With your permission, Sir, I propose to circulate in the Official Report a statement giving the required information.

Following is the statement:

ESTIMATED change* since previous year, in each of the years 1961-1970 inclusive, in the numbers of males engaged in farmwork and in the number of tractors on agricultural holdings.
