Vol. 255 No. 19

Written Answers. - Postal Votes.

145.

asked the Minister for Local Government if arrangements will be made for the granting of a postal vote to commercial travellers when they are away from home on the occasion of elections.

Postal voting is confined by law to members of the Garda Síochána and the Defence Forces.

As has already been indicated in replies to previous questions on this subject, the introduction of legislation to extend postal voting facilities is not proposed.
