Vol. 255 No. 19

Written Answers. - Dublin Road Marking Tests.

147.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he is aware of the traffic dislocation in the Drumcondra area of Dublin resulting from the testing of paints for road markings; and if steps will be taken to ensure that traffic dislocation will be minimised during any coming series of tests.

The road marking work or tests which the Deputy appears to have in mind was carried out by Dublin Corporation for the Institute of Industrial Research and Standards and on behalf of my Department.

I understand that, due to unforeseen circumstances, some disruption of traffic arose during the carrying out of the first test. No difficulties were encountered when further tests were carried out at two other locations.

The work has now been completed.
