Vol. 255 No. 19

Written Answers. - Dublin Flat Dwellings.

165.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he has received a memorandum from the Dublin Flat-dwellers Association concerning various aspects of the position obtaining under the present laws in relation to lettings; and the nature of the reply sent.

I received two letters, dated 18th August, 1970, and 29th January, 1971, respectively, from the association regarding the letting and renting of private housing accommodation. In general, the points raised were matters for consideration by the Minister for Justice and the association was informed accordingly.

I will arrange to furnish the Deputy with a copy of a letter issued to the association by my Department on 22nd December last, after consultation with the Department of Justice, arising out of the representations made to me by the association.
