Vol. 255 No. 19

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Stamp Trading.

38.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if the recent statement of the Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Finance in relation to a stamp trading firm (name supplied) reflects the policy of his Department in relation to stamp trading.

The whole question of stamp trading is still under review. As indicated in answer to a Dáil question on 10th March, this matter came up at the Fair Trade Commission Inquiry into groceries and I do not intend to reach any final conclusions until I hear what the commission have to say.

Is the Minister aware that the Parliamentary Secretary has lauded this practice at the opening of a new office for a stamp-trading company?

I have studied the speech and I was not so aware.

The Parliamentary Secretary said it was an admirable practice.

I am calling Question No. 39.

Ministers and Parliamentary Secretaries do not go out often and when we do go out it is said we go to the wrong places. When can we be right?
