asked the Minister for Defence the total number of persons in receipt of pensions under (a) the Connaught Rangers (Pensions) Act, 1936 and (b) the Military Service Pensions Acts, 1924 and 1934; and the estimated number of widows of such persons eligible for benefit under the Army Pensions Bill, 1971.

The information requested by the Deputy in regard to numbers of pensioners is as follows:
