Vol. 255 No. 19

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - FCA Training Courses.

69.

asked the Minister for Defence if he is aware that the courses offered to potential officers and potential NCOs in the FCA have been reduced from three weeks to two weeks; if so, the reasons for this reduction; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Courses for potential officers and potential non-commissioned officers have normally been of fourteen days duration and syllabi and programmes catered for fourteen days only. Occasionally in the past some of these courses were extended to 21 days but it was decided that all such courses in 1971 should be limited to the normal period of 14 days.
