Vol. 255 No. 19

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - McKee Park, Dublin.

72.

asked the Minister for Defence the area covered by the open space and adjoining enclosed ground at McKee Park, Dublin; what purpose it serves; whether he is aware of the nuisance which it causes to adjoining householders; and when it will be developed.

The area of the open space, which is used by children as a playground, is 2 roods 29 perches, or thereabouts; the area of the adjoining enclosed ground, on which is situated the Army Canteen Board shop, is about 1 rood.

Complaints of trespass and damage to adjoining properties through the open space have been received from time to time. This matter is properly one for the Garda.

The question of levelling and reseeding the open space is under consideration but I cannot say when a decision will be reached.
