Vol. 256 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Limerick Garda Headquarters.

155.

asked the Minister for Justice the present position regarding the Garda headquarters at William Street, Limerick; and if he proposes to renovate or reconstruct it; and if he will make a statement in the matter.

At my request, the Commissioners of Public Works, who arrange for the erection of Garda stations on behalf of my Department, are negotiating for the purchase of a site for the proposed new divisional headquarters station in the city which would be more suitable than the William Street site. Pending the outcome of the negotiations, I am not in a position to make a statement in the matter.
