I approved the acceptance of a tender for this cottage and 11 other cottages in County Roscommon on the 14th September, 1971.
Can the Minister say when this tender was submitted by Roscommon County Council to the Department of Local Government?
The Deputy did not ask for that information in the question. I was asked what was the reason for the delay in sanctioning the tender and I have informed the Deputy now that it has been sanctioned since 14th September. I have not a note of the date on which it was submitted to the Department.
I can inform the Minister that it was submitted on 5th May. Can he say why there was a delay of four and half months in sanctioning it?
I cannot say, but I am sure the people in Roscommon will be glad to know that sanction has been given.
