Vol. 256 No. 8

Order of Business.

It is proposed to take Nos. 26, 3 and 25. It is proposed to interrupt business between 6 o'clock and 7.30 p.m. to take No. 3, to which Standing Order No. 87 shall apply, and to take No. 25 at 7.30 and, when completed, to resume the Order of Business.

A Cheann Comhairle, on the Order of Business, may I refer you to Question No. 153 addressed by me on 4th November to the Minister for Justice? In view of the grossly unsatisfactory nature of the Minister's reply I asked permission to raise this matter on the Adjournment. It was not possible for you to grant that permission on the day in question but you informed me that I could raise it on the next sitting day. I now so raise it and ask your permission to raise the matter on the Adjournment.

The Chair will communicate with the Deputy in the course of the evening.

On a point of order, might I respectfully suggest that it might have been possible for you, in the interim between now and last Thursday, to have reached a decision and to convey it to me now.

No, because no notice had been given.
