asked the Minister for Education (a) the number of candidates who were called for interview for admission to training colleges for national teachers; (b) the number who attended for interview; (c) the number who were successful; (d) the number who were successful but did not accept; (e) the centres at which interviews took place and the number who were interviewed at each centre; (f) the number who failed at each centre in (i) singing, (ii) oral Irish and (iii) general suitability; and (g) by whom were the interviewers appointed.

As the information requested by the Deputy is in the form of a tabular statement, I propose with your permission, a Cheann Comhairle, to circulate it with the Official Report.
