asked the Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries (a) the present price paid for Irish butter on the British market; and (b) the price paid in 1969 and 1970.

The price currently being paid for Irish creamery butter delivered in bulk on the British market is £577 per ton. The corresponding price in 1969 was £343 per ton. During 1970 the price per ton was increased from £343 in January to £358 in June and was further increased to £367 in November, 1970.
