The question of adaptation to the EEC requirement of a 3.5 per cent minimum butterfat content of liquid milk is among the matters currently being discussed in Brussels in connection with the negotiations for Ireland's entry into the EEC. As the question is still under discussion, I am not at present in a position to indicate the implications for Irish producers.
