Vol. 258 No. 14

Ceisteanna—Questions Oral Answers. - Army Headquarters Signal Unit.

86.

asked the Minister for Defence if a unit known as the Army Headquarters Signal Unit has been set up; how long it is in existence; and when it is proposed to make it permanent.

The answer to the first part of the question is "Yes". The unit was set up in August, 1969, and the question of making it permanent is being examined.

Could the Parliamentary Secretary give some indication as to when there might be a decision on this?

I cannot, but I believe there will be a solution to the problem shortly. Do not ask me to define that.
