Mr. Donnellan

asked the Minister for Lands when the Lands Commission intend to divide the land in their possession at Ardrumkilla, Belclare, County Galway, and carry out the long promised rearrangement scheme in this area.

Mr. S. Flanagan

Proposals for restructure and enlargement of small holdings at Ardrumkilla, involving an aggregate area of 115 acres, and expenditure of over £18,000 on improvements, have been approved and, given the co-operation of the parties involved, it is hoped to put them into effect over the next few weeks.

asked the Minister for Lands the total acreage of land in the possession of the Land Commission in the Dunmore pilot area, County Galway, setting out each estate, its acreage and the amount charged by the Land Commission for letting.

NOTES:

(1) Acquisition and division of land is a continuing process. During the past 12 months 4 properties, aggregating 156 acres, have been allocated in this area while a further 4 properties, aggregating 147 acres, came on hands.

(2) It is not possible to indicate when the individual estates listed will be allotted but preliminary plans for division of some 400 acres are at present being prepared and it is hoped to allocate at least part of this area during the present season.
