Vol. 259 No. 13

Order of Business.

It is proposed to take business in the following order: Nos. 3 and 24. It is proposed to interrupt business at 7 p.m. to take No. 24 and when completed to resume the order. By agreement, it is not proposed to interrupt business to take Private Members' Business.

Is the Taoiseach in a position yet to indicate the date of the referendum or the date of the Budget?

It is hoped that before the Dáil recesses for Easter the date of the Budget will be announced. The date of the referendum, as I will be indicating in the course of my speech, will be in the month of May but the specific date is not yet settled.

Is it proposed to take the Budget on the day the Dáil resumes?

I do not know that yet.

I spoke to the Taoiseach in private about this so it is no harm to raise it in public. Is there yet any initiative on the matter of the establishment af an all-party committee on Northern Ireland?

I hope to be in touch with the Deputy and with Deputy Cosgrave during the course of this week.

Early this week, I presume?
