Vol. 261 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Offaly School.

11.

asked the Minister for Finance the present position in regard to Shinrone, County Offaly, national school; whether he proposes to build a five-teacher school; if so, when tenders will be advertised and when building is likely to commence; and whether he intends to provide a study room and work room at the school.

A grant has been sanctioned by the Department of Education for the provision of a new school at Shinrone consisting of five classrooms and a general purposes room. The preparation of plans, specification and bills of quantities will be put in hands as early as possible and subject to the clearance of title to part of the site it is hoped to invite tenders before the end of the present financial year.
