Vol. 262 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Salmon and Shellfish Exports.

64.

asked the Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries if, when this country is a member of the EEC, it will be necessary to hold an export licence to sell salmon and shellfish to Common Market countries.

I propose to remove, with effect from 1st February, 1973, the export restriction on shellfish.

As regards salmon, it will still be necessary to hold an export licence when this country is a member of the EEC.

The remaining questions will appear on tomorrow's Order Paper.
