Prices (Amendment) Bill, 1971: Report and Final Stages.

Question proposed: "That the Bill do now pass."

We have registered our protest in regard to the deletion of section 3. We think the right thing to do now is to let the Bill through. Because there are so many other important matters to be dealt with it would be wrong to hold the Bill up, but we want it to be known that we do not agree with the deletion of section 3. We would also like to advert to the fact that the Minister did not reply and tell us in any satisfactory way why he was deleting section 3.

We share that view, with all due respect to the Minister for Local Government.
