Discussions have been held with the Southern Health Board in regard to the need for further trial borings on the projected hospital site. I understand that the board are considering the acquisition of further land to facilitate the implementation of the project but no definite proposals have so far been submitted to my Department. If this is proceeded with it will be necessary to have further trial borings carried out.
