asked the Minister for Justice if he will state in respect of the Office of Chief Justice, Judge, District Justice and County Registrar (a) the salaries paid in 1922, (b) the adjustments made since then,

(c) the date of each adjustment, and (d) the salary after adjustment up to the latest date for which figures are available.

The answer is in the form of tabular statements which are attached.

(2)The salaries shown for the years 1926 to 1946 are basic salaries which attracted additions by way of cost of living bonus as authorised from time to time by the Minister for Finance.

(3)The figures shown relate to salaries only and do not include allowances addition a to pay which are paid to fourteen County Registrars for acting as District Probate Registrars.
